Another fun weekend at the Bradford house has passed! It all started on Thursday which was Jack's 5th birthday. Aunt Staci, Max, Abby, and Lucy came back to stay with us. I took the 4 big kids to Jack's t-ball practice while Staci stayed home with the 3 babies. I got home and she had all the babies fed, bathed, and ready for bed...go Staci ;)!! Jack decided that for his birthday dinner he wanted pizza from the pizza guy so we ordered Pizza Hut and had all of our kids plus 3 of Jack's friends from the neighborhood over for a fun dinner. John made it home from Little Rock that night.
Saturday, the day of Jack's birthday party at the park, began as a very cold and rainy day...it didn't change as the morning went on :(! John being the awesome Daddy that he is got on the phone at around 10 am and booked a party at Monkey Joe's VERY last minute. I had to call the 19 kids that had RSVP'd to the party to let them know the location had changed. Jack was so excited to have his party at Monkey Joe's. I think that is where he really wanted it to be, but I had convinced him that the park would be fun because it was a lot cheaper. After a week of 70 & 80 degree weather I was sure that the park would be great. Never trust the weather I guess. The party ended up being great, a little too crowded, but great! Jack had a fantastic time as well as all of his friends. He said his favorite part was opening the presents - surprise, surprise! Thanks to all friends and family who helped out and just joined us for the party. We are truly blessed to have you all in our lives. And yes, I did get teary when Jack was opening his presents and it hit me for the first time that my baby is 5...time truly flies by...
Make a wish
His favorite part...sitting in the huge MJ chair and opening the loot!

My Babies Are 1
Hi everyone and Happy Easter! We had such a fun and busy weekend. It all started Friday when Nana, Papa and Em got here for the weekend. It was my Daddy's birthday so we fried shrimp and fish for him. Mom and I rushed to the grocery store to get supplies for Saturday. Saturday Morning John took Jack to T-Ball practice while my Dad and I took Molly to the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. It was so much fun for us and for Molly. We ran to an area of the yard where we were all alone and she racked up!! When we got home we finished getting ready for Sophie and Macy's birthday party. They were so pretty in their outfits and the LOVED the cake! Many people commented that they have never seen babies eat the cake like they did. The first cake I made was my attempt at Two Peas in a Pod, but it looked more like 2 green boobies ;)! Needless to say, we got 2 different cakes, yummy bunny ice cream cakes, that were so sweet. I still gave the girls the green cakes because I didn't think they would dig into ice cream cake as well because of the cold. We sang "Happy Birthday" first to Sophie and then to Macy. They also got into opening the presents and liked ripping the paper. It was a great party!!
The next morning was Easter Sunday and we started it with an Easter egg hunt in the house that the Easter Bunny provided. Jack and Molly really got into it and they both loved their Easter baskets. They still have not stopped eating chocolate. We made a big Easter brunch and the everyone had to go home. Never fear though, everyone will be back next weekend for Jack's party! Staci and her kids decided to stay in Charlotte this week- half with her in-laws and half with us- so she will be back on Thursday.
I posted a lot of pictures from this weekend and I apologize that they are out of order and 1 sideways. I will describe what each one is! Toodles!

Hey Batter Batter!!
Running the bases.
Nice throw!
SAAAWING BATTER!
I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready!!
Today was Jack's first t-ball practice and I was really keeping my fingers crossed that he would like it. Well, he LOVED it! He had so much fun and he is actually really good. He said his favorite parts were throwing the ball and running around the bases. John kept telling him to pump his arms when he runs because he kinda does this robot run thing. The coach kept telling Jack that he has a "good arm." His first game is the day of his birthday party so there will be lots of family in town to watch!

Creepy Twin Thing :)
Sophie trying to get her sea legs!
Macy says, "I can do it too!"
"We're not gonna go to sleep Mommy!"
Molly modeling her new "beautiful" nightgown.
Today was a rainy Saturday which started this morning with Sophie screaming in her bed. When I opened her bedroom door, she was STANDING in her crib and could not figure out how to get down. She was scared...poor thing. She did the same thing at nap time and as I was comforting her in the rocking chair, Macy popped right up and was STANDING in her crib too. I always joke about creepy twin things they do like poop at the same time, cock their heads to the same side at the exact same moment, etc. I think them deciding to stand for the first time on the same day would qualify as a creepy twin thing :)!!
Jack got to spend the day with Daddy and Uncle Mark out "making money" and showing some real estate. He enjoyed his MAN time and even sucked the meat off of his first 2 hot wings and washed it down with Diet Pepsi...bad Daddy ;). Jack later informed me that hot wings are man's food!! Molly chilled with me and all of us girls took naps during a great thunderstorm. It was a nice Saturday!!

Molly's A Big Girl

Missy to the park.
We had Molly's 3-year well check today and she is doing fine. She has grown 3 inches in the past year, but only gained a little over a pound. She's going to be tall and skinny like I was. She is in the 25th - 50th percentile for height and weight. I talked with Dr. Wendy about behavior issues and her little attitude and she gave me some tips on setting boundries and consequences. Otherwise she is great. Sophie and Macy had to get another RSV shot which they absolutely HATE!! Sophie was actually clinging to me while I was trying to lay her down on the table. I think it was the first time I've cried when the girls had to get shots...they were very pitiful!! Jack had a good day at school and now says that kisses from girls are "scusting!" Apparently 2 little girls are chasing him and his friend around the playground trying to kiss them...too funny and too early for that!!! I'll post more pictures soon.

Follow The Yellow Brick Road
Last weekend we celebrated Molly's 3rd birthday at the house with a Wizard Of Oz themed party. She is completely obsessed with this movie. My Mom was able to get a hold of adult costumes for the party. I was Glinda the Good Witch, Staci was the Scarecrow, my Mom was Auntie Em, and Granny and Grampy were the Lion and the Tin Man. John was supposed to be the Tin Man but the costume was a little to snug :) and of course, Molly was the cutest Dorothy ever. We turned the hallway into the yellow brick road, and Molly loved it all. Her favorite part of the party was opening presents and she kept exclaiming "I want another one!!" It was GREAT!
The next day was her "REAL" birthday and she is still convinced that she had a party but not her birthday yet. I think she just wants more presents. She also took a "Big Girl" step and gave up her passies. The first nap without them was pretty rough but since then she has been fine. I can't believe my sweet baby girl with all the fluffy hair is 3 already. Makes me sad!
The girls' and Jack's parties are soon!
Catching Up
Where to start!?! The past year has been quite a blur. After 3 years off, I decided to go back to work 2 days a week. I was the Speech Pathologist at a school here in Charlotte and 2 weeks after I started I found out I was pregnant with our third child. About 15 weeks later I was dumbfounded to find out that our third child was actually identical twin girls. Through a rough pregnancy the babies were diagnosed with chronic Twin - to- Twin Transfusion Syndrome which basically means that one baby gets all the good stuff while the other baby does not get enough. We were fortunate to get to almost 31 weeks and the girls were delivered by C-Section 9 weeks early. They stayed in the NICU for 5 weeks and both came home on April 28, 2007.
Now, Jack is turning 5 and getting ready for Kindergarten, Molly just turned 3 and starting preschool next year, and Sophie and Macy are completely healthy and about to turn 1!! I am once again back at work 2 days a week at a fantastic charter school in Davidson, NC which is where Jack will go next year for kindergarten. John is still with IBM and running Park Avenue Properties so he works ALL the time! Our lives are wonderfully chaotic!! I wanted to post a few pictures from the past year to get everyone caught up but the server would not let me! I'll try again tonight.
