Surprise Visitors

WARNING...as you scroll down and read these posts please understand that I'm really tired and honestly a bit grumpy so I don't think I make much sense in some of the...I think you'll get the gist though :0 (that's a yawn)

Sophie getting LOTS of love and attention after her trip to the ER

Sophie getting some Granny love!!

Cousin Mark, Staci, Mal, and me

Aunt May, Mark and Uncle Bud (or Papa 2)

Mark and Mom

We were heading home to Charleston this past weekend for Max's birthday party when we found out that my Granny and Aunt May and Uncle Bud would be visiting. My cousin Mark was deployed to Baghdad and was flying out of Charleston Friday night. It was so special to us that we got to spend some time with him before he left and a visit with Granny was wonderful as we usually only see her once a year. We had a great time at the b-day party but as we were bathing off the day's dirt, sand and snacks, Sophie decided to smack her forehead into the corner of the wall and bust her head open. Mom and I rushed her to the ER and 5 hours later we were home with 3 stitches and a tired little girl. She's doing fine and will get the stitches out on Friday.

Me and My Man

Several months ago I planned a weekend at the Biltmore for John and I for our 8th wedding anniversary. My parents came up and kept the kids with Mallory and we had a very romantic and more importantly QUIET weekend together. I'm a pretty big history nut so I tend to wrapped up in this kind of stuff, and I LOVED it! If you've never been you must go!

Sophie & Macy

The girls have had such an exciting past couple of months. They turned 2, moved to big girl beds, and started acting just like 2 year olds! This is Sophie monkeying around at Monkey Joe's.

Macy

"look Mom...it's Lala"

Sophie and her cheeks!!

Lately Sophie either has her fingers in her mouth or up her nose...don't really know which is worse.

The same weekend as Jack's party (whew) we had a 2nd birthday party for Miss Sophie and Macy. We love everything Dora right now so we went with that theme.

Macy looking like "Mom...carpool line sucks!"

Sophie found a way to pass the time ;)

MOLLY

Miss Molly decided that for her 3rd birthday she was going to be Snow White and invite all of her princess friends over for a little celebration. We had Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Belle, and I think even a Fancy Nancy snuck in there :)

I decided to make her a "poison apple" cake to go with the Snow White theme. Mallory helped me make the forest creatures out of fondant...very fun!!

Kinda not a good picture...but the best I could get with 10 little princesses running around. Molly should have been "Grumpy" instead of Snow White ;)

When you catch one of her sweet smiles...they are so worth the wait!

I just took this in the car and LOVED it because you can see her beautiful blue eyes!

JACK

My baby turned 6! Jack decided this year that he wanted to have a movie party in our basement theater. I made really cute (if I do say so myself) invites that looked like movie tickets and we had popcorn, candy, etc. Jack decided that he wanted to watch a Super Mario Brothers movie since he is so into Mario Cart right now. John went to Blockbuster to rent a movie and he found a DVD of Super Mario Brothers episodes that were seriously from 1980!! The were really grainy and cheesy but the kids LOVED them!

In the theater with his buddies!

I made this one easy this year!

Jack had his 2nd performance at school after the class finished their "artist" unit. It was a "gallery crawl" to hear some songs about artists and see all of their masterpieces. Jack's favorite artists are Michelangelo, Monet, and Cassatt. Don't you love the beret?

Jack looks more and more like his Daddy every day!

It's Been A LONG Time

Okay...so it's been like 2 months since I've posted anything of value so I thought I'd break it down into categories. So, just keep scrolling and I'll update each kid as well as John and I. I think that will cover everything...here I go...
