Disney World 2010

On June 6th we embarked on our yearly "ish" trip to the happiest place on the planet...Disney World!!  I absolutely love our trips to Disney for many reasons.  My kids LOVE it, John and I get to experience it through their eyes, seeing my bestie Lynn and her family, and sharing this wonderful holiday with friends and family.  This year we had our dear friends Jay and Amy and their girls Taylor and Brooke join us and we had a wonderful, exhausting trip.  I have to admit it was quite hot and we did get a bit sweaty but it was bearable.  This year we decided to try out the Disney Dining Plan to save some money and up the convenience factor.  The food was wonderful but if I can be honest, to plentiful!!  WAY to much food!!  All we did was eat and by dinner time most nights I wasn't eating because I was hungry but because my dining plan told me it was time!!  This isn't an ideal situation when we are trying to watch our figure!  :)  I did manage to get in a couple runs and we walked MILES each day, but I find myself trying to "get back on track" now that we are home.  Our schedule of the week was busy with Monday at Hollywood Studios, Tuesday at the pool, Wednesday at Magic Kingdom (my fave), Thursday at Epcot, and Friday home.  We always say when we leave Disney that we are "Disney'd out" for a while but within a few months I'm ready to go back.  This time was different though...I was really sad to leave...and already can't wait to go back.  I love me some Disney World!!!

Sophie, Jack, Macy, Brooke, Taylor, and Molly (hiding :) ) on the way to our 1st of MANY meals!

Macy just couldn't hold out any longer...believe me when I say this is VERY rare for one of my children...they never just fall asleep somewhere random.

Taylor, Sophie, and Molly just hanging out.

 Silly faces!

 Sophie and Brooke

Me and my litter with Mary Poppins and Bert.

Beautiful girl!

Beautiful eyes on my Sophie!

 No words...just precious Macy!

My handsome prince Jack growing up way to fast!

 POOH!!

This was my favorite part of the trip...meeting the princesses!!  The girls sang and chatted and Jack decided to play photographer with my camera...this is girls stuff you know!

"Gus Gus"  AKA Cinderella

Molly LOVED meeting the classic characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy.  I have to give Molls credit for this trip.  She is normally so shy and dramatic to the point of crying and such but this trip she really enjoyed the characters and she rode a roller coaster and "Test Track" and LOVED them!!  That's my girl!!

So sweet Mickey Mouse...until next time!!!

May Flowers

So we have had some fun the past few weeks.  As you know,  Jack plays tennis and his Coach, Coach Julie, hosted an end of the season party at her house a few weeks ago.  She has a phenomenal house on the lake in Davidson equipped with a fire pit, dock, boat, and trampoline.  We spent a few fun hours there with Jack's team.

May brings with it lots and lots of end of the year activities.  Jack had his first "real"  report due that he chose to do on hummingbirds of the rain forest.  He wrote a full page report and constructed a hummingbird feeder from all recycled materials.  The class help a "Project Celebration" where the kids stood by their projects and presented them to parents as they wondered around.  Jack was a very good presenter but as you can see, thought it was funny to cross his eyes every time I took his picture.

The next big event was quite a biggy!!  My first baby girl...my buddy...my sweet Molly graduated from preschool.  They rising kids sang a few songs and told what they liked best about preschool and Molly said she liked reading books the best (what a good girl...just like her Mommy).  We then had a picnic with the class and she was officially done! :(
I now have a 2nd grader, a kindergartner, and 2 preschoolers...yikes time flies too quickly!

Molly and Ms. Debbie

Over Memorial Day weekend we had a fun family day of boating.  I have to say that this was the first trip that I wasn't a stress ball.  It was a beautiful day and the kids all got to swim with Daddy.

Okay so yesterday I went to my girlfriends house to get my hair did and since she works out of her house, I take all of the kids with me when I go.  My hair was all in foils when Macy starts screaming.  She comes down and has her hand covering her eye and that hand is covered in blood.  Apparently she got in the way of the Wii remote as Jack was completing his forehand and got whacked in the eye.  It split her eyelid but luckily she did not need stitches...just some Neosporin and lots of hugs...sweet baby girl!!!

Please ignore the Doritos dust on her face  :)
