Some of you may not know that my husband is such a good sport! He is always ready and willing to dress up when he is needed! He spent 2 years as the Memphis Tigers mascot in Grad School and he dressed up in a tux to "butler" at Exxon station openings. Well today was the cutest...he was Rudolph in the Davidson Christmas parade.
Unfortunately the girls and I missed it due to the yucky weather but Jack got to ride in the parade in a Smart Car (Bubble Car as Jack calls it) with his pal Cameron. Thanks "M" for the picture!

Twins Room Update
The latest items to be removerd from Sophie & Macy's room:
The little dresser lamp that they threw on the floor and broke the pretty shade which I replaced with 2 night lights but then was quickly reminded of why I removed the night lights in the first place when I got the girls up this morning and they had scribbled black lines ALL over the walls with the bottom of the little bittie light bulbs...guess they will be sleeping in the dark tonight...hehehe ;]
The room darkening shades which they ripped from the window frames...now replaced with black out pannels attached to the curtains (I'm sure these will be the next to go)
All bed linens that are not directly needed for sleep (i.e. quilts, shams, etc) because their latest trick is to COMPLETELY strip the beds and I LOATHE putting sheets on beds especially over and over and over....
Pretty little Willow Tree figurine of twins that love each other and hold hands and are not destructive because my twins almost broke their heads off!
I think that is it for now. So to sum up...room inventory as of 12/5/2009: 2 twin beds with 2 sheets, pillows, and a blanket each; stuffed animals that can not break anything; a dresser that is attached to the wall at 2 places (the drawers are still in but I have a feeling they will be in the hallway soon...I'm tired of all the clothes dumped onto the floor twice a day and the girls have learned to open them and use them as steps); a mirror on the wall (which they can reach when they scale the dresser because I found tiny grubby hand prints on it this morning); curtains; and 3 butterflies hanging from the ceiling.
Somebody out there...HELP!!! :)

BOO!!
I have to admit...Halloween is not my favorite holiday. We had fun...the kids especially...but it's so chaotic with 4 little ones all hyped up on sugar!! :) The night before John picked out pumpkins with the kids and helped them carve them up. Molly chose a butterfly again this year and Jack created a spooky face all by himself. They had fun!! Halloween evening I got my 3 fairies and Obe-Wan-Kenobi all ready and out we went to join the crowd of about 70 kids from around the neighborhood. The kids all took on their own roles this year...Jack was the inpatient one ("hurry up Mom!")...Molly was the shy one (again)...Sophie was the clever one (she figured out right away that if she rode in the wagon the whole way she could feast on her candy)...and Macy was the social butterfly (walking the WHOLE way lugging her bucket saying "trit-a-tree" "tant too, bye-bye"). We ended the night with a yummy pizza party, a sprint home in the rain, and bags of candy dumped out onto the floor so Mommy and Daddy could "check" it!! :) Now it's on to Thanksgiving!!

Parade Of Fiction
Today was Jack's annual Parade of Fiction at school. They don't dress up in Halloween costumes, but rather as a character in a story or book. The whole elementary school parades outside...it's super cute. This year Jack decided to keep it easy...thank goodness!! :) Since his class just finished their unit on sports figures, he decided to go as "Casey at the Bat." We threw on his old t-ball uniform and we were good to go!!
Me and my Bubby...is he not the cutest!!!
The whole class posing with their books
Jack and Ms. Henning...one of the most phenomenal teachers on the planet!!

Portraits Finally!!
A few weekends ago we had Mallory take photos of the kids out at a local farm. They are precious!!! I haven't had portraits taken in so long! I'm so excited to share but not until I get them sent out to everyone in the family. Don't want to spoil the surprise!
Shrimp Gumbo...Shrimp Pancakes...Shrimp Scampy...
At the end of September, Jack completed a "right of passage" and was invited to go along on his first shrimping trip with his Daddy and Grampy. John took both Jack and Molly to Mt. Pleasant to camp with Grammy and Grampy and while Molly had "Molly Day" with Grammy, Jack got to go with the boys to catch some shrimp. He loved it and had a great time but as you can see shrimping is hard work. He had to catch a few zzzz's :)
So tired!!
A stop at the Environmental Education Center started the trip!

Grammy & Grampy
The weekend of September 11th we had a fun visit with John's parents (AKA Grammy and Grampy) and Great Nana. It was a fun weekend of yummy food (Grammy made a whole turkey dinner), relaxing, visiting, and playing outside. Great Nana got to watch the kids play and enjoy the sunshine! It was a great visit!!

Lella Overload
Even before we left for Disney the twins were obsessed with anything princess. Now, however, they speak of nothing else. If we try to watch anything other than a princess movie, Sophie SCREAMS...I have to tell her that Lella has gone "night-night." They both ran around all day today wearing Molly's princess dresses (Macy is wearing one right now as she sleeps) and Macy has been whacking everyone with a princess wand and saying "boo!" I think she's saying her own version of "bippity boppity boo!"
John just got home and is on his way upstairs to sneak and video as the girls dance around their beds to a singing Cinderella doll...will any of them be my tomboy??? It doesn't look likely!!

M-I-C K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!!!
As always we had a blast at Disney World. The kids were great and I got to see my bestie after over a year :) The girls were sooooooooooo into the princesses and Jack was fun to watch because he wanted to do some "big kid" things that he has never attempted before. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney World and am always sad to leave...but we'll be back soon ;)
Sophie and Macy hanging in the stroller
Jack decided he wanted to get his face painted (he's never wanted to do this before) He chose the Superhero...we decided he looked like Flash Gordon. Molly said "heck no!"

Summer Vaca
We have found ourselves to be stuck with a fantastic house for the summer on Kiawah Island, SC (oh whoa is me :) ). We plan to spend as much time as possible there this summer to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, and the pool.
Cooper completely exhausted herself in the pool!
Papa and Sophie watching "Lella"

Mark and Mom
We were heading home to Charleston this past weekend for Max's birthday party when we found out that my Granny and Aunt May and Uncle Bud would be visiting. My cousin Mark was deployed to Baghdad and was flying out of Charleston Friday night. It was so special to us that we got to spend some time with him before he left and a visit with Granny was wonderful as we usually only see her once a year. We had a great time at the b-day party but as we were bathing off the day's dirt, sand and snacks, Sophie decided to smack her forehead into the corner of the wall and bust her head open. Mom and I rushed her to the ER and 5 hours later we were home with 3 stitches and a tired little girl. She's doing fine and will get the stitches out on Friday.
