Hawaii Update...

We've been in Hawaii since Saturday night and after a lot of sight seeing and many fruity drinks with umbrellas in them I am almost as brown as a bean! I'll post pix when we get home!

Papa Joe

I miss you every day...

Kindergarten...Preschool...Work

Molly's first day of preschool

Macy looking VERY serious!

Sophie before the haircut...her bangs are out of her eyes now!

John...just because he's so cute!!

Hello all! It has been quite a while since I actually wrote about something of any interest...and because it's been so long I don't really remember it all! Let's see...Jack had his first day of kindergarten on August 18. He was so excited and he LOVES school. He gets upset on Saturdays when he doesn't get to go. His school is so cool! He makes books all of the time and for the first part of the year he takes sign language (the second half he takes Spanish). He was sitting with me at work last week while I was talking to a student and I glanced at him and he made the sign for "I love you." I told him he had to be quiet and could not interrupt me...how sweet is that!!

Molly started preschool the Wednesday after Labor Day. I was a little nervous because Molly is not as easy going as Jack and extremely attached to me, but she is doing great. She sometimes gets a little weepy when I drop her off, but the teacher says she is so good. She is so happy when I pick her up and she loves to tell me about her day.

Sophie and Macy are CRAZY!! They go everywhere. Their favorite thing to do is walk up and down he driveway...back and forth...talking gibberish and screeching. They are way to cute and they know it. They are actually using a lot of sign now and saying a few words like mommy, Dada, Ba / for bath, up, and hi. They look more and more like Jack...and each other...every day!

We did have an unexpected and sad event happen in our family. My sweet, sweet Papa Joe passed away a few weeks ago in his sleep. He went peacefully and is now with Grandma again. I find myself thinking about him every day and missing him...it's just so strange to know that he is not here anymore...he's always been here. I was able to get to the funeral in Indiana with my sisters and parents while John, Uncle Mark, and Grammy kept the kids. They all did a great job! Thanks to Grammy for getting Jack to school!!

My parents celebrated their 38Th wedding anniversary and Staci and John their 7Th. Baby Lucy is turning 1 tomorrow...LIFE GOES ON!!

Up next...John and I are taking a 2ND honeymoon / work thing to Kauai on Saturday. Nana and Papa are coming for the week to hold down the fort and I'm gonna lay on the beach in Hawaii for 6 days!!!! I'll take lots of pix!! Have a great one!!
